About Me

Grace Yoder

I'm a research-based photographer who primarily focuses on adaptations and behaviors in local wildlife. I have an interdisciplinary background in photography, art history, and biology that informs how I view and create my work. My photographic method features a collaborative attitude between the animals and myself.

I am working on earning a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography, a Bachelor’s of Arts in Biology, and a minor in art history at the University of Hartford with Summa Cum Laude. I've had my work exhibited in several juried competitions, including the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts. I have been awarded several scholarships from the New England Camera Club Council, recognizing my excellence in photography. I was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut, where I often went hiking and gathered my passion for nature. I plan on continuing with a career in wildlife rehabilitation and using my photography in conservational public outreach.
